1 min readSeptember 4, 2026

MUMBAI, Sept 4 (Reuters) - The Reserve Bank of India was seen selling dollars near the start of Friday's session to cushion the rupee from pressure stemming from the rise in oil prices, two traders said.

The rupee opened a tad higher at 94.46 on Friday versus 94.4850 on Thursday, with RBI intervention helping the currency shrug off indications of a weaker open, traders said.
